Person riding a horse through water.

Dear Friend,
Welcome, and thank you for stopping by.

About this project.
This journey began back in the summer of 2022, sparked by a simple whale-watching trip off the coast of Sandy Hook, NJ. While seeing whales was a dream come true, I found myself equally mesmerized by the ocean water rushing alongside the boat. I filmed it without thinking much — just moved by the moment. Later, in my studio, those quiet clips became the foundation for what is now Beach Messages — handwritten words of hope, healing, and encouragement etched into the sand, most of them created on the shores of Coney Island, NY.

What started as a GIF series has since reached over 13.5 million views on Giphy — something I never expected. Beach Messages on Giphy

In April 2025, I felt the pull to return to the project, this time layering the visuals with sound and music. The first video, FAITH HOPE LOVE, was created in 4K, and 7 mins. In length, with a vision to share these messages in large communal spaces — places like worship centers, prisons, rehab facilities, and events. Then my sister Thomasine gave me an idea I couldn’t shake: “What if people could see your videos through a greeting card with a QR code?” And just like that, Beach Messages 2.0 was born — a new collection of Video Greeting Postcards, made to be shared from the heart.

About me.
I moved to Manhattan in 1987 and began my creative life in fashion design. My roots are in Saugerties, NY — a place that still grounds and inspires me. Over the years, I’ve explored many forms of creative expression, from clothing and accessories to interior design and wall art. If you’d like to see more of that journey, visit my albums here: https://www.facebook.com/RosemaryChaseArt/

Thank you for being here. I hope these messages speak to you and that you feel the care and intention behind each one.

With warmth,
Rosemary
